Support

Part 66+ is the experience and training record for aircraft maintenance professionals, made by Airworthiness Limited. If something is not working, or you have a question this page does not answer, we would like to hear from you.

Talk to us

Email contact@airworthiness.co or send a message through our contact form. We reply as soon as we can, normally within two working days.

It helps if you tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, and roughly when the problem started. You can find the app version under Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Part 66+.

Where your data is stored

Your records are kept on your device so the app works without a signal, and synced to our backend so they survive a lost or replaced phone. Our backend is hosted in Ireland, and access controls mean your records can only be read by your own signed-in account. Your profile photo, and any certificate the app generates when you finish a course, stay on your device and are not uploaded — only their filenames sync, so bear in mind they will not appear on a new phone.

Some data never leaves your device. This may include the key that seals a verified entry, which lives in your iPhone's Secure Enclave; your Face ID or Touch ID data, which iOS never shares with any app; and your reminders, which iOS schedules locally.

What we collect, and why, is set out in our privacy policy.

Syncing between devices

Sync runs automatically each time you open Part 66+ or return to it, provided you are signed in and online. There is no sync button to press.

To move to a new iPhone, install Part 66+ and sign in the same way you did before, with the same email address or sign-in provider. Your records will download in the background; a large history can take a minute or two on the first sign-in. It is worth opening the app once on your old device, while it still has a connection, so that anything recorded offline is uploaded before you switch.

If something you added on one device has not appeared on another, check that both are signed in to the same account and have a working connection, then close and reopen the app to trigger a fresh sync. If it still has not arrived, email us before deleting anything.

Signing in

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with a sign-in provider such as Google. There are no passwords. A code works once and expires after a short time.

Each way of signing in is a separate account as far as the app is concerned, so use the same one each time. Signing in with Google when you first registered with an email code will start an empty account rather than open your existing one. If you have signed in with the wrong one, sign out and back in with the other, and nothing will be lost.

Getting your records out

The app's Settings include an Export option, which produces a readable copy of your experience and training records that you can save or send on. Use it before any major change, and keep a copy somewhere safe, as you would with any important record.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm again. This erases your account outright: your profile, experience, licences, training and examination records, employment and address history, tools, verifier records, anything you posted to the feed, and any photographs, on our backend as well as on your device.

The app only clears your device and signs you out once the erasure has succeeded, so if it fails you will be told and nothing will have changed. It cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first.

If you would rather we did it for you, email contact@airworthiness.co from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will erase your account and its records within a reasonable timeframe and confirm when it is done.

Reporting content in the feed

The feed is optional. Nothing from your experience appears there unless you choose to share it, and you can use the whole app without ever posting.

If you see a post or comment that is abusive, unsafe, or otherwise does not belong, use the menu on that post to report it. You can also block a user from their profile, which hides their content from you and yours from them. Reports come to us and we review them; we may remove content or suspend an account. If a post raises a genuine flight-safety concern, please also raise it through your organisation's occurrence reporting process, as we are not a reporting channel to the regulator.

To delete something you posted, open it and choose Delete. Bear in mind that anyone who has already seen it may have kept a copy.
